These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Maritime Expert Solutions website and online training platform (the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a course, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
"We", "us", and "our" refer to Maritime Expert Solutions. "You" and "your" refer to the user of the Service. "Courses" are the maritime training modules and programs offered through the Service. "Certificate" is the certificate of completion issued when you pass the required assessments.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the email address provided. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, to keep your account information updated, and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information or is used in breach of these Terms.
Our courses are designed to deliver maritime training aligned with the IMO STCW Code and other applicable standards. The content is provided for educational purposes. A certificate of completion is issued when you pass all required module quizzes at the stated passing score. Our certificates record completion of the online training; they do not replace any statutory certificate issued by a flag state or recognised maritime authority, and you are responsible for confirming whether our courses meet the specific requirements of your employer or flag state.
When you purchase a course, the price is resolved at checkout and payment is processed through our payment provider. By completing a purchase, you authorise us to charge the displayed amount. Course access is granted once payment is confirmed. Prices may change at any time; the price in effect at the time of purchase applies to your order.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review the Refund Policy for the conditions under which a refund may be requested.
All course content, text, graphics, videos, quizzes, certificates, and software on the Service are the property of Maritime Expert Solutions or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from the content without our written permission. You may access and use the content for your own personal learning during your enrollment.
You agree not to: share your account or course access with others, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems, use the Service for any unlawful purpose, interfere with the proper operation of the Service, scrape or download content in bulk, or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others. Violations may result in account termination without refund.
Where you submit a Seaman Book application through the Service, you confirm that the information and documents you provide are accurate and authentic to the best of your knowledge. Submission of false or fraudulent documents may result in rejection of the application and termination of your account. Processing times and outcomes are determined by the relevant authority, and we do not guarantee approval.
The Service and content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that course content is complete or applicable to every situation. Maritime training does not replace the judgment and competence required of a seafarer in real operations.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the course or service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or loss-of-income damages, or for any failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of another.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but these Terms continue to apply to your prior use. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Maritime Expert Solutions operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
